Do You Have a Hard-to-teach-child?
Not all of our kiddos are “mainstream learners.” They don’t all go the way of other kids, absorbing their textbooks’ content with relative ease. Some kids need more attention and special methods or ways of educating them. In the world of private homeschooling, you are the person to find that special way, and this can be an isolating and, many times, a frustrating process for many parents. So we invite you to be part of our special support group, Upstream Learners. Upstream Learners is for any parent who is challenged with a child who has a learning disability or learning problem. Dyslexia, Autism, speech or language impairment, ADD or ADHD, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, learning delays, etc., are just a few. This group will focus on the parents’ individual needs through the community, prayer, and practical ideas and solutions. This is an open group, and you can join anytime. We will be meeting upstairs in Room 21 at 5:30 PM on our regular Parent Meeting nights. Questions? Email us firstname.lastname@example.org
